If you could specify specifically what information you would like, it would make it easier to offer some assistance. We have managed to consolidate research done by a few of the family lines, so it would prevent duplication if we could narrow it down.
My mothers line came from Peters son John, to which most of our information is relevant.
Here is what we have:
-Information relevant to the Thomas family ( Peters Wife)
-Information on Peters family,
-Information no Johns Family.
-Diary of Peters epic journey.
-Peters Work Record.
-Summary of Peters life as done by another family line.
-Some miscellaneous data on individuals.
We have made the trip to the cemetery to see if we could see the grave. Our trip was unsuccessful as most of the older graves had sunken into the earth due to age. I wish you much better luck, but as you may have never have taken the trip I thought I would let you know. It is a beautiful area.
Should you wish to speak directly to my mother-she would do what she could to provide assistance. Her number is 705-792-4042.
Regards,
Brian Smith
I have all the information on my line of the family from John Thomas and Margarette (Indian) through Peter and Charlotte to present. If you know of any information on the whereabouts of John Thomas Sr. burial l would appreciate it. Also I would be very interested in a copy of the journal of Peters travels. I see your mothers area code is 705. Is she in the Peterborough area. My father is still living 95 years and has a quite a bit of information going back a few generations.
Regards
Grant
I retread your post of the other day and noticed that your mother is related to Peter Spence through his son John as am I, then James R Spence, Charles Spence and Elmer Spence. Most of the family on my side ended up in the Haliburton/Bancroft area and several are buried in .the Zion cemetary in Hybla Ontario.
