Baltimore City Directories show Joseph J. still living in Baltimore until 1903. From what I can tell he was a laborer. From here he goes off the grid. This is about all I have on him personally. All info I have was obtained from Ancestry.com consisting directory and census records.

A child of Daniel Burns b. abt. 1843 d. abt 1899 and Catherine Manion Burns b. abt. 1844, both immigrated from Ireland abt. 1860. Where in Ireland, I have no idea. I have reached the wall going backwards.

His sibling were Mary Ann Burns Shaw b. 1869 d. 1933, Katie Burns b. 1873 d. 1922 in Baltimore and a brother Daniel J Burns, a brass worker, b. 1876 d. 1917 in Phila. Pa,. All born in in Baltimore Maryland.
