Agnes Paterson Campbell, daughter of William Campbell, Town Clerk of Greenock, died in December 1839 at Monkwood near Kilmarnock. Agnes was a beneficiary of William Paterson, formerly of Jamaica, and may have been his niece. I am researching for any related information. It would seem that Agnes' father became destitute following his removal from the office of Greenock Town Clerk. Agnes was the only sister of Robert Campbell (Junior) of Sydney, Australia, who made his fortune out there and whose son Robert Campbell (Tertius) returned to England and bought the Buscot Park Estate in Berkshire.
