What if we are a direct descendant of someone that you still are showing as living and they are not? How can we help get the information updated? Especially if we are paying for this service it should be able to be up to date.

Referring to Martin Turpin b. 1832 d. 1917 married to Qualls, Juliann and Martin had another wife and children with that wife and information for those children.

Hope to hear from someone soon on this matter.

Hi Les,

I can sense your frustration, especially since you do provide so much help to people.

To answer your question about asking for help but not bothering to answer - Why? It's simple really, some people just like to whinge.

Ian Marr

Good Morning Ian, at last from a nice morning here in WALES.

Yes I agree with you. As you also answer Queeries, I expect that you would like to know the outcome.

Maybe it is me but here in GB in seems to be common courtesy to respond, but again maybe it is my age, making me a bit frustrated.

Have a nice day

Hi Les,

I think it's more a generational thing rather than geographical (I'm 68, or should I say, 6 or 8??).

One should never generalise, so I shall - I think current generations have definitely lost the "art" of courtesy, but if that's the case, that's probably the fault of our generation.

Keep on helping anyway, regardless. Your inputs and perceptions are always valuable.

Ian Marr

Yes Ian you are correct. At the tender age of 88, we were brougt up to have the correct social manners.

It was definitely a PLEASE and THANK YOU environment, with the CANE on the Teachers desk.

Sounds like a part of the Charles Dickens Novels

The Pickwick Papers.

Oliver Twist.

Nicholas Nickleby.

The Old Curiosity Shop.

Barnaby Rudge.

Martin Chuzzlewit.

Dombey and Son.

David Copperfield.
