Downloading a file to cd or plug in.

May a family tree file be downloaded from TribalPages to an outside storage source?

Also it would be convenient if data could be transmitted from TribalPages via GEDCOM, if necessary,to another family tree file.

I have 12 different family trees that with the right information could be connected into one tree. if i were to place them all with Tribalpages without first finding connections between each one I may not be able to connect them at all

Hi Douglas, there are many FAMILY TREE sites you can use (FREE) to join your 12 sites together , and sort duplicates .

You would do this on your PC first, then you can upload your FINAL TREE to Tribal Pages.

This is the normal way to do it.

If you do not have any of these FAMILY TREE sites on your PC.

Hello Les, thank you for the suggestion. I need some connective tissue to fuse trees together. Then I can use the site address you suggest.

Hi Doug, you will find on the Trees from GOOGLE that if you enter two GEDCOMS they will search and match.

Select one of the TREES from GOOGLE that does this and have a trial run.

Then try to add another GEDCOM and do the same, until you have joined them all.

Now you should have what you want to upload to Tribal Pages.
