If the file name I have on the photo or document would transfer, it would be easy for me to add photos to profiles.
I pretty much quit adding photos, as it just takes way to much time to find the photo without a name, select the photo and then add the name, especially when adding 50 photos or more at a time.
Thanks, Janice
When you upload surely you add to a person to (one or More GOOD HOUSEKEEPING)
You would be able to find them easily, as you would have some idea where you are putting them
You Have 2 Albums on one site and 14 albums on the other.
At the bottom you have an index of Names with Photos.
You have what you want, but as I see it ,you did not use TP correctly to name your Photos
There is a lot that we have to do ourselves with our own Site

As you state
Taking the time to put names on each of more than 5,000 photos would be a nightmare and it would never happen.
That is completely up to you
Although TP only states you have 1379 Photographs on your two sites 3621 Missing
You stated: "Although TP only states you have 1379 Photographs on your two sites 3621 Missing" What is that supposed to mean? My point exactly!
On my ancestry.com sites, from which I upload a GEDCOM file to Tribalpages, I have 8,025 images on Historical Families of Rush City and 20,620 images on Through the Window of Time, a total of 28,645 images. Of which, only 1,379 have been added to Tribalpages.
Tribalpages is wonderful for the records and info, however, no images are included in the upload, which means, that I must manually add any photos to an individual or an album. Because of this, I have added only a few of the available images.
What I am asking is: When I upload an image, would it be possible to retain the file name I have given it, instead of no name at all on the image. Then it would be much easier for me to find that person and add the photo, renaming it to fit Tribalpages.
Example; my Bentley William Doctor uploads to tribal without a name of any kind. It would be great if my file name stayed with the image in the default album, then I could simply use 'find' and add photo and notes.
But, as you see it, I am not using TP correctly to name my photos! I don't have any problem at all naming them, the problem is the large number of profiles from the GEDCOM that currently do not have a photo, and I would like to add one.
Whatever, Janice

When you upload a GEDCOM it is with TEXT only. Any photographs are not uploaded.Surely you know this
These you add to TP under Upload Photos They only upload as a photograph. Not with information that you are asking for. if you had done this correctly you could use the Sort by upload date or Sort by photo date.
The onus is on you to do this or to have done it. Surely when you Uploaded your first photograph to TP you realised what you were doing.
As for your profiles cannot you make a Tiff or a .jpg
and upload these
Here are the ones that TP accept

I assure you that I am not and I completely understand how uploading photos and GEDCOMs to TP works. And, I know how to and have been uploading photos to TP for years!
And, my question has nothing whatsoever to do with file extensions!
All I am asking is that when a photo is uploaded, and the photo appears to be edited or names added, that my file name is shown, instead of no name at all, as is the current case.

I now am in my 90 years and always had good manners and still do.
Here is a bit more help . If your .jpgs are taken digitally T P will use EXIF DATA to obtain Date.
all the best

It is obvious that TP doesn't understand how much better this would make TP. It would be great PR for them and an absolute aid to all users.
