About The Storey Story
Please sign in to see more. The two main families that make up this site are the Storeys and the Medlocks. Initially they were both spelt differently. There was no 'e' in Storey before the 1800 and Medlocks started out as Madlocks. This is not untypical of most surnames. Changes came about partly because the owners of the names did not always know how to spell them themselves and partly due to regional variations in accent causing a misunderstanding. Sometime names were changed deliberately but I don't think that was the case here.
Please note: apart from myself and my mother, I have tried to excluded living members of this tree. However, as this tree was uploaded from the tree on my home PC which does include living members there is a possibility that a few living ones may have got through. Please bring these to my attention if you find any.
